We at Three Rights Left believe everyone has the Right to enjoy themselves at all times, the Right to live life to the fullest and most importantly, the Right to drink great wine.

With less than 100 planted acres in the U.S., Charbono is a rare Italian-style varietal that has recently seen a resurgence in the U.S. Our Charbono’s inky coloring, medium body and fruit-forwardness pairs well with a wide assortment of foods and is guaranteed to leave your taste buds begging for more.

Tasting Notes
2009 Charbono – Current Release
Similar in many ways to our inaugural 2008 vintage, this wine has also improved its predecessor’s successful foundation. It has not strayed from its fruit-forward and eye-popping deep purple inkiness. Strong aromas of dark and red fruits are immediately noticeable upon opening. Smooth plum, cherry and raspberry notes with a hint of spice hit the palate while soft tannins finish it off with nice mouthfeel. Simple, yet more complex than the 2008, this wine is drinkable now and should develop beautifully over the next three to five years. Best consumed with simply an empty glass and thirst for something special, this Charbono can be paired well with tomato-based pastas, pizza, duck and smoked meats.
